This map shows the general intentions for Tirla April 2001 onwards. It's hoped to get to Thessaloniki early in the spring to avoid the Meltimi which is a wind that blows from the North with increasing force from June to August. Using the early effects of the Meltimi Tirla will come south via Limnos, Lesvos, Tinos to Porta Heli by early August. By mid November Tirla should be in Turkish waters.

As with all sailing the actual trip could turn out to be something completely different!
