Last night about midnight the quiet was shattered as two huge low loaders delivered four new Moody 31 yachts ready for the local charter firm to launch next Friday. There are now several such firms in the Ionian some with over a hundred boats here. They say the size of the individual boats and the fleets are getting bigger every year. Also last night Fae saw a fox under our boat. We can also hear hundreds of frogs in the marshes croaking at night.

Tirla looks quite a jumble,
to the left is a view from the starboard stern area. The dingy has a leak caused when the rubber tube scraped a sharp volcanic rock last year! The gaffs have now been re-varnished and we are getting ready to repaint some warn areas of the white deck paint. |
